On the positive side, Michigan State's Sparty, the one man Grecian Party, ranked in the top 5 most recognized mascots in college trailing only Stanford's Tree, Otto, the Syracuse orange, Western Kentucky's red blob and the Neck-loving Tiger from LSU.

Flipside of that coin, is the poor, lowly, mascot from the Detroit Pistons. And if you didn't know there was a Pistons mascot named Hooper - join the club, membership is free. Only the Indiana Pacers mascot named Boomer was less known in the NBA. Indiana's mascot is relatively new. Boomer replaced a dog named Bowser, who is shown below riding a toilet.
