Residents of the San Francisco Bay Area and Napa Valley were shaken awake by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake on Sunday morning. The earthquake hit around 3:30am local time and was centered just south of Napa, California.
This was the strongest earthquake to hit California since 1989 when a 6.9 magnitude quake shook San Francisco.
More than 60 aftershocks hit the area shortly after the initial quake with even more smaller aftershocks expected over the next week. Here is a map to show the epicenter.
