It's Easter weekend, and the Easter Bunny will be bringing some yummy candy and egg treats for the kids, including Peeps! Ahh, the delicious marshmallow shaped chicken, bunnies or other animals that appear at Easter time. Actually, they're year round now.  Yummy, right?

There is a love/hate thing going here with these soft little critters. I hear so many people saying how much they despise these little things, but there are just as many who love them. After all, a Peep is just a marshmallow shaped thing covered in colored sugar. What's so wrong with that?

Interestingly, a Ukranian immigrant Sam Born bought a little candy company in 1953 that was making a  marshmallow chick line, began mass production of the chicks and  soon became the largest marshmallow candy manufacturer in the world. Then new shapes were created for different seasons and holidays, different colors such as lavender, blue, pink, white and more were introduced, and the rest is history.

If you're really a fan, now you can get Lip Balm in four flavors: grape, strawberry, vanilla, and cotton candy. I think I'll pass on that, but, hey, for the true fashionista, don't forget the nail polish, wrist bands, umbrellas, plush toys, earrings, necklaces and golf gloves.

Ha, just what I need on the golf course, a Peeps golf glove! I'll probably get strokes from my golf buddies for NOT wearing the glove on the course.

Oh, and this Halloween, you're kids can even be a Peep with the latest Peep costume.

Come on haters, enjoy the candy!
