If you don't feel like driving to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for recreational marijuana, soon you will only have to drive to Bangor to get your supply.

According to WOOD, the Green Door medical dispensary in Bangor applied for a recreational license in early November and have already passed the first round of state approval for the sale of recreational marijuana.

Green Door co-owner Mark Smith hopes to be open in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Smith said, "There is going to be a major shortage in the adult use, there is just not enough product out there right now for the medical side, let alone adult use.

Since the Green Door is selling medical marijuana and soon recreational marijuana, the state requires separate counters, paper work, supplies and even the money since they are two different business's being run in the same location.

The owners plan on solving their own supply and demand by creating another 12,000 square foot building to grow more of their own product.

Based on supply and demand, the Green Door expects there to be quite the line when recreational is finally up for sale.
