The Muskegon Lumberjacks are back! For the first time in almost 600 days, the doors of Mercy Health Arena are open to Hockey fans as the Lumberjacks face off against the Chicago Steel for the home-opener weekend on Friday and Saturday, October 15th and 16th.

Along with the Lumberjack games, there will be a celebration of the return of hockey with Flannel Fest! A weekend-long event that includes live music, axe throwing, hayrides, a cornhole tournament, and more.

Lumberjacks’ president of business operations Andrea Rose spoke on what she hopes Flannel Fest will be "Just trying to elevate that experience. It's not just hockey, it's more than hockey," said Rose. "We're the Lumberjacks and we're tying to own it. It's just going to be a big tailgate big party."

Flannel Fest includes:

  • Oct. 15 - Let There Be Rock, AC/DC tribute band playing 5p-6:30p
  • Western Avenue closed for axe throwing, pumpkin carving, fall family fun
  • Oct. 16 - Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys headlining from 5p-6:30p
  • Street party with a cornhole tournament, hayrides, axe throwing, pumpkin carving

The first 100 adults to open an account with Jumberjacks sponsor Family Financial Credit Union during Flannel Fest on Friday will receive an exclusive white Lumberjacks jersey.
