Who Is Lucius Hoskins?

Born and raised on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, Lucius Hoskins, or LoBoy as his production name states, is not a stranger to our city.

Growing up in church and living a rather tough life inspired Hoskins to dream big and work tirelessly to make it come to fruition.

With his dream, Hoskins has become a gifted musician, songwriter and music producer for people we know and adore like,

Now, he is turning his dreams into a legacy allowing others to imprint their footsteps on music history.

Ottawa Hills High School Recording Studio

Thanks to Mr. Hoskins and his team of industry friends and teaching experts, he was able to create a curriculum that is now making its way to Ottawa Hills High School.

Now, students can learn how to create, produce, and market their own songs at Ottawa Hills' new state-of-the-art recording studio.

With the new Music Production and Entrepreneurship class, Ottawa Hills students can realize that their passion or hobby can become a sustainable business with a dream and hard work.

As a 1997 Ottawa Hills High School graduate, this is full circle for Hoskins.

Not only did his roots run deep in Ottawa Hills, but his grandmother, parents, and siblings all went to Ottawa Hills.

Hoskins is a part of the Trifecta: Ottawa Elementary, Iroquois Middle (the original Ottawa Hill High), and Ottawa Hills High School.
