Only in Michigan: Troopers Finish DoorDash Delivery After Arrest
Most people expect their DoorDash driver to show up with dinner. One Michigan customer got something a little more unusual: a delivery from the Michigan State Police.
Michigan Troopers Take Over Delivery Duties
The unusual delivery happened Friday (March 6) when Michigan State Police officers from the Mt. Pleasant Post stopped a DoorDash driver and discovered he had an outstanding felony warrant. After taking the driver into custody, troopers noticed the order was still in the car.
The driver told the officers he was on duty as a DoorDash driver and on his way to make a delivery at a nearby home. While he was being processed, the customer called to inquire about her order.
How It Happened – Traffic Stop and Arrest Details
One of the troopers answered the driver’s phone and explained that the DoorDash driver was being arrested, according to Detroit’s WDIV-TV.
Officers then coordinated with two additional troopers in the area and delivered the order to the customer’s home.
“Great work and community service by our troopers in resolving the situation while still ensuring the customer received her order,” MSP said.
Here's what I want to know: Did the customer give the delivery drivers/Michigan State Police officers a generous tip?
