This definitely isn't the kind of attention a school like Interlochen wants.

A new investigation into the Interlochen Center for the Arts, just southwest of Traverse City, uncovered decades of alleged sexual abuse. The people named in the report include former staff members, counselors, trustees...and even Jeffrey Epstein.

According to MLive, the investigation lasted two years and included interviews with more than 70 former students and campers, who shared allegations dating all the way back to the 1950s. This is obviously a terrible look for the school.

The good news, if there is any, is that Interlochen says none of the 47 people named in the report still work there. About a third have also since died. School leaders apologized to survivors and said the abuse described in the report goes against everything the school stands for.

What Did the Interlochen Abuse Report Find?

The report names 47 people who were connected to Interlochen over the years. The school says it's turned those names over to the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor's Office and is also taking a fresh look at buildings, scholarships, and anything else that still carries those names.

Jeffrey Epstein had a long history with Interlochen, donating nearly $500,000 to the school before it cut ties with him in 2008.

The new report says two former students accused Epstein of sexually abusing them. One said he paid for her tuition, while another said he invited her to New York.

The school says it's still reviewing the report and wants anyone else with information to come forward.
