Is Faster Horses Coming Back in 2026?
After more than a decade of entertaining fans, Michigan's biggest annual country music festival took a break in 2025 — and as the end of the year approaches, concertgoers are wondering whether there's any chance the event will return in 2026.

Organizers of the Faster Horses Festival, a 3-day event that had been held the third weekend of July the past several years on the grounds of Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, announced this past February that they had "made the decision to pause" the festival in 2025. At the time, they said they would be "taking the year to make plans for a bigger and better Faster Horses." Has anything become of those plans?
At this point, it doesn't seem likely that Faster Horses will make a return in 2026.
Signs Pointing Away From a 2026 Return
That same announcement from Faster Horses that cancelled the 2025 edition of the festival is what still appears on the website now. Meanwhile, 2026 dates have already been announced for other similar music festivals around the country (such as the Country Thunder festivals in Arizona, Florida and Wisconsin). Lineups are expected to be made public for several of them before Thanksgiving.
Competition and Timing Challenges
Pair that with the fact that country superstar Morgan Wallen is draining concertgoer cash with back-to-back shows at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on July 24-25, and it simply doesn't look like the stars are aligning for a Faster Horses return in 2026.

Have stranger things happened? Yes. Should you count on the festival coming back? No.
