Patrick Stewart Conducted Michigan’s Band, Led Star Trek Theme Performance

Over the weekend, the world was devastated by the news of the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart, who, for many years, was a part of millions of people's lives as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the starship Enterprise on Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as many other roles throughout his illustrious career.

His career took him from everywhere, from the stage to the silver screen to the big screen, and one of those incidents was when, in partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the University of Michigan held a residency, and Sir Patrick Stewart conducted Michigan’s marching band in a red mission of the Star Trek theme before ordering the team to both let go and beat the Buckeyes.

Sir Patrick Stewart will no doubt be missed, but fans will have one last chance to see him on the big screen as he is going to be reprising his role as Charles Xavier in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film, alongside Ian McKellen, who is reprising his role as Magneto.
Even Buckeye fans had to pay their respects to Sir Patrick on this day:
Buckeye fan here and…never mind, it’s Patrick Stewart. All is forgiven.
