Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that we get to experience all four seasons in Michigan, but I've about had it with winter.

Grand Rapids has already had 45" of snow this winter, and I'm pretty sure if I went and got blood work done, my doctor would tell me that my Vitamin D levels are dangerously low.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm finally ready for the days to get longer and warmer.

When Will West Michigan Finally See It's First 6pm Sunset?

In an effort to find hope and have something to look forward to while living through this dark and cold West Michigan winter, I searched online to find out when West Michigan will finally see a sunset after 6 PM.

I've got some good news, It's happening pretty soon!

According to TimeandDate.com, Grand Rapids will see its first sunset after 6 pm on Wednesday, February 5th at 6:01 pm.

If you're wondering about other sunset times, I've looked into that as well.

Grand Rapids will get its first 7 pm sunset on Sunday, March 9th when the sun will set at 7:42 pm.

This is because on the 9th we start  Daylight Savings Time.

Later in March, on Monday the 24th, Grand Rapids will see the sunset at 8:00 pm

And finally, on May 19th, Grand Rapids will see its first 9:00 pm sunset
