Operation BBQ Relief Rolls Into Michigan After Deadly Tornadoes
On Friday 4 tornados in varying strength touched down in South West Michigan killing 4 people and injuring at least a dozen others.

Home and business saw damage ranging from shingles coming off roofs to houses being completely demolished leaving only a concrete pad remaining.
Union City was hit the hardest after a EF-3 Tornado with max winds of 160 mph killed 3 people and left miles of destruction in it's path.
That tornado was the strongest in Michigan since 1977.
Not long after the Tornado was gone, the community started coming together to help each other out.
Union City High School became a donation site collecting things such as water, diapers and other things that people in the community needed.

But help didn't just come from the community, it also came from a non-profit out of Kansas City.
Operation BBQ Relief Feeds Michigan Tornado Victims
Operation BBQ Relief is a Kansas City nonprofit founded by big-hearted pit masters in the wake of the Joplin, MO tornado.
They feed communities after disasters and enrich heroes' Lives Every Day.
As I learned out more about Operation BBQ Relief I was blown away by some of the numbers.
They've been to 43 states and Jamaica serving over 13,000,000 meals.
On Sunday they were serving up free meals to anyone in need, along with first responders and other people helping with the clean up efforts.
