When you hear the words 'dream car', you probably think of something fast, flashy and extremely expensive. But, residents of the former car capital of the country were asked what their dream car was, it turns out- we have extremely modest taste in vehicles.

In a recent nationwide survey by Tinting Chicago, Michigan residents revealed refreshingly modest dreams when it comes to their ideal cars. While luxury brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche dominate American roads, Michiganders prefer the practicality and innovation of Tesla for their dream rides.

Although this car could still be considered a luxury since the resale price on them as of recently has crashed, so they probably aren't trying to make a long-term investment when they choose to go green.

Despite the allure of luxury, Michigan locals also appreciate the understated elegance and reliability of non-luxury brands like Acura, Volvo, and Jeep, which they find impressive.

Interestingly, while Tesla tops the dream car list, Michigan residents are most impressed by the timeless sophistication and performance of Porsche.
