It turns out this poor pup's name is Buddy and he was recently rescued. Unfortunately, he's so new to his new home that his family hasn't had a chance to get him microchipped, and he also hasn't had time to fully acclimate to his new home.

Buddy's mom, Allie, commented on how he's doing currently, saying,

We all lucked out last night getting him back home safe. Buddy is just so traumatized from his past. Poor rescue baby. - Allie via Facebook

In another comment, she said that the family intends to have Buddy microchipped when they are able to get him into the vet next month.
