Judge Jails Michigan Mom Who Used THC Gummies To Quiet Her Kids
I've heard stories about people giving kids melatonin at daycare facilities to try and get them to calm down and fall asleep.

But what a Michigan mom did to try and get her three kids to calm down is something I could never imagine doing.
Thirty-four-year-old Stephany Mogg is going to spend a year behind bars after she was found guilty of giving her three kids THC-infused gummies.
The kids are 6, 10, and 12, which is way below the legal age for cannabis consumption.

One of the children shared that after they had the gummies they experienced uncontrolled laughing, giggling, hunger, and drowsiness.
These effects continued as they experienced difficulty functioning at school.
I remember the first time I took an edible as an adult and I took way too much.
I swear I was high for a day and a half, which I can’t imagine a 6-year-old going through.
When Mogg is released from jail, she will be on probation for three years.
During probation, Mogg can’t use drugs or alcohol, must submit to testing, and attend outpatient substance abuse counseling.
She will also have to pay $334 in fines and costs, and a $30 monthly supervision fee.

I understand parents make mistakes, but I don’t know any parent who thinks it’s a good idea to give a minor weed to fall asleep.
I hope she learns something from this irresponsible decision and can turn her life around once she’s released.
