Michigan Coach Wins LA Marathon in Stunning Photo Finish
A Michigan man has won the LA Marathon with an unbelievable finish.

Nathan Martin, a cross-country coach from Jackson High School, won the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon in the closest finish in the event's 41-year history.

Nathan Martin was able to beat Kenya's Michael Kamau by a fraction of a second on Sunday.
When you watch the video which I posted below, it looks like there is no way Martin is going to catch up and will have to settle for 2nd place.
But he kept on going, giving it all that he had and that led to one of the most dramatic finishes I've ever seen in my life.

Martin was interviewed at the end of the race and was asked what did it take for him to win?
"I always challenge myself to push, whether it’s someone to chase or I’m all by myself, because I want to finish knowing I gave everything I had. I know I can always do that. You can’t always win, but you can always push and I was just super fortunate that the effort gave me the win today."
I have to be honest, I never really thought running was that exciting of a sport to watch but if every race ended that way I would be there in person to see it.
