
Missing Michigan Man, ‘Lucky’ Found Safe by MSP
UPDATE (1/20/23 12:00 PM): Michigan State Police say that James "Lucky" Gary Haislip has been safely located living with friends in the Detroit area.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Michigan State Police are asking the public for help to find a missing man who sufferers from a traumatic brain injury.

What's A Traumatic Brain Injury?
The Mayo Clinic says a traumatic brain injury can have wide-ranging physical and psychological effects. Some signs or symptoms may appear immediately after the traumatic event, while others may appear days or weeks later.
Some cognitive, behavioral, and mental symptoms include:
- a state of being dazed, confused, or disoriented
- Memory or concentration problems
- Mood changes or mood swings
- Feeling depressed or anxious
When Was Lucky Last Seen?
According to the Michigan State Police 42-year-old James Haislip Jr. hasn’t been seen since Friday, December 2, 2022. James also goes by the nickname "Lucky"
What Does Lucky Look Like?
James is described as being 5’11” tall, weighing 190 pounds with hazel eyes and a shaved head.
Where Could He Be?
The Michigan State Police say Lucky might be somewhere in the Detroit area.
What To Do If You See Lucky
Police ask that if you've seen Lucky or know where he might be to please call the Michigan State Police Lakeview post at 989-352-8444.
Hopefully, the police will find Lucky soon and reunite him with his worried friends and family. Lucky is one of many Michiganders that go missing each year.
