One of the most popular activities to do is ride a bike, and Earth Month GR is hosting three free events this month to help out cyclists in Grand Rapids.

Earth GR Hosting Three Bike Rallies In April

Marta Johnson, who is the co-chair of Earth Month GR, shared with Wood TV why they are hosting these bike rallies.

“We created these events because we knew … that people are out there in Grand Rapids that want to try to ride bikes more, but maybe they’re out of habit or they’re just out of practice, intimidated or just need a little extra support.”

 

Monday April 22nd - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Location: Las Canchas, 250 Seward Avenue NW

Tuesday April 23 - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Location: Switchback Gear Exchange, 2166 Plainfield Avenue NE

Wednesday April 24 - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Earth Fest will take place on Saturday, April 27th at Studio Park in Downtown Grand Rapids from 11am - 3pm.

Organizers say the event will be a casual family-friendly celebration of sustainable living in Grand Rapids.

You're encouraged to bike or ride the bus to the event, and while you're there enjoy a vegan burger or BBQ lunch for free.

There will also be games and other fun activities.
