We're all wrapping up another year, and while we're waving goodbye to 2023. New Years 2023 should be a great one, and if you're a parent or just in charge of some little folks during winter break, you may be looking for a family friendly way to ring in the new year.

Grand Rapids has several fun (and earlier in the day or week) options for you to celebrate the new year with your kids. So, you don't even have to give up your adult New Years Eve plans in order to have a good time with the kiddos.

Here are some of the best options for things you can do with the entire family to ring in 2024

Friday, December 29th

If you're looking to celebrate the new year a little early, there a few "Noon-year" parties that you can take the entirely family to!

Several Kent District Library locations will be hosting their "Happy Noon Year Parties" on Friday from 10am - Noon, allowing you to "countdown" at a time that won't require an extra nap.

Those locations include: Byron Township KDL (8191 Byron Center Ave SW, Byron Center), Cascade Township KDL (2870 Jacksmith Ave SE, Grand Rapids), East GR KDL (2870 Jacksmith Ave SE, Grand Rapids), Caledonia KDL (6260 92nd St SE, Caledonia), and Alto KDL (6071 Linfield Ave SE)

You can also head over the the Meijer Gardens for Their happy "Pre-New Year" party, which will be happening that Friday from 10a-Noon for some indoor fun.

Saturday, December 30th

Several other libraries will be hosting their "Happy Noon Year Parties" from 10a-Noon on Saturday instead, including: The Herrick District Library, who is hosting theirs at the Holland Civic Center (150 W 8th St, Holland, MI 49423)

As well as other KDL branches will be hosting theirs from 11:30-Noon including Kentwood (4950 Breton Rd SE, Kentwood), Walker KDL (4293 Remembrance Rd NW, Walker), and Lowell KDL (200 N Monroe St)

This party is later in the day, and seems like a lot of fun. If you've got kids that love to skate, head over the the RollXscape in Holland for their party from 6-8pm. They'll be having a balloon drop and prizes galore including a FREE pair of skates!

Or, how about something magical and hands on, you'll want to check out the New Year's Early Eve at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum from 5-8pm for fun activities, a magician, a countdown, and a glitter photobooth.

Sunday, December 31st

If you're waiting until the actual day, your family has a few options including: Craig's Cruisers New Years Eve Event, from Noon - 9pm. They're offering two sessions, and an unlimited arm band that gets you access to all of their attractions and a buffet while you're there.

Or you can celebrate New Year's Eve at Allegan Event from 5pm-9pm. Join their family-friendly party featuring a black-light disco, swag bags for the first 50 guests, a kid-friendly New Year countdown and toast at 9 PM.

Or maybe ice skating is more your speed, the Walker Ice Center is hosting from 5-7pm for their Neon New Year's Eve Open Skate Party! The first 300 people will also receive a gift bag.
