Unexpected Guest: See the Moment a Deer Wandered Into Thornapple Manor

Staff members and residents at Thornapple Manor in Hastings recently had an unexpected visitor show up at their front door.

A small group of deer wandered onto the parking lot and one of them was extra curious because they walked up to the main entrance and went inside.

That's when an intense minute of madness unfolded inside the facility.

In the video which is posted below we start out seeing the group of deer heading towards the main entrance and then one of them went inside.

The next thing we see is the deer making its way down a long hallway while a staff member moving at a very fast pace tries to block and guide the deer towards the front door.

The staff member was able to guide the lost and confused deer towards the front door where it tried to make a dramatic exit through a window, but got caught up in the blinds.

The deer eventually was able to find its way back outside with quite the story to tell their deer friends.

Abby Reigler, Director of Human Resources at Thornapple Manor shared how proud she is of her team for how they handled the situation.

"We’re proud of the team at Thornapple Manor for staying calm, working together, and handling surprises with grace. We hope this video brings a smile to your face."

The staff gave this curious deer the name 'Jane Doe'.
