One of the best parts about College Football is that many times the games take place during the day so you're able to enjoy the game, tailgate a bit, and move along with your day. However, there has been an increasing amount of night games taking place this year.

Michigan State's AD Alan Haller expressed frustration after MSU was scheduled for 4 straight night games and had a program record of 7 by the end of the season. However, two of the Big 10's powerhouses won't have to worry about this: the Ohio State Buckeyes and our Michigan Wolverines. Here's why.

It Boils Down To Money, Of Course

If you've been keeping up with your favorite team this year you've probably noticed there are more night games than usual. If you're a fan, then great, but if you're not...get used to it. The Big Ten started its new television deal with Fox, NBC, and CBS this year which will net the conference a mindboggling $8 billion over the next seven years.

But two of the biggest names in College Football won't need to worry about the late-night game plague coming for them thanks to some creative bargaining with the TV giants.

Via a New York Post exclusive, it has been revealed that Ohio State has special deals in their TV deals with Fox, CBS, and NBC that "they cannot be assigned to play at night in the final three weeks of the regular season".

In fact, Michigan reportedly will only play two home night games per year and won't do any night games after daylight savings time. What this means for Wolverines fans is that the big rivalry game against Ohio State will definitely not be a late-night affair and most likely never will be.

Lucky you.
