As winter begins to fade, many people are hurrying to the slopes to squeeze in a few final ski runs. One woman in Michigan, however, made her rush in a far more reckless way, by driving her car at the base of the ski hills.

At the bottom of a ski hill, you typically find skiers and snowboarders gathering as they prepare to hop back in line for another run down the slopes. The last thing anyone would expect to see at the base of a ski run is a car driving through.

According to MLive, a 58-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving her car into the base of the slopes at Alpine Valley Ski Resort, putting skiers, snowboarders, and children at risk. Witnesses also reported seeing the woman smoking marijuana while she was allegedly driving near the bottom of the hill.

Police said it was the woman’s third offense for operating a vehicle while impaired. During a field sobriety test, officers reported that she displayed poor balance, slurred speech, and combative behavior at one point referring to an officer as a “Nazi dude.”
