Michigan Wolverines Playing Basketball Game At Van Andel Arena

The University of Michigan Men's Basketball is coming off one of the most dominant seasons in college basketball history. The team went 19-1 in conference play, won the BIG 10 regular-season title, and went on to win the National Championship in an NCAA Tournament where they barely trailed. Dusty May turned the program around in two quick seasons.

But now Dusty May is out as coach; many of the players who propelled the team to a national title went to the NBA; and this team will look very different than it did a few months ago. But Wolverines fans in West Michigan will get a chance to watch the team before anyone else when it plays an exhibition match against another national powerhouse at Van Andel Arena.

Michigan Wolverines vs Houston Cougars Exhibition Game

On October 25th, the Michigan Wolverines will play an exhibition match against the Houston Cougars as part of a new pre-season matchup (The Battleground 2K26) showcasing to powerhouse schools. Both teams are coming off 30-win seasons.

Tickets are on sale NOW, with lower bowl seats at ~$90 and upper bowl at ~$60. This is the first time since 1998 that the Wolverines are playing in Grand Rapids.

The last time these two teams played was in the 2018 NCAA Tournament when Michigan beat Houston 64-63 on a buzzer-beater by Jordan Poole to reach the Sweet 16.
