Boaters, Surfers Team Up In Lake Michigan Rescue Effort
There's nothing better than when a community comes together to help those in need. According to the South Haven Area Emergency Services Facebook page, that is what happened on Lake Michigan.
Some good waves were coming across Lake Michigan in the South Haven area when some surfers were taking advantage of the opportunity that Mother Nature provided. A Zodiac boat capsized, leaving two people in the water.
Lucky for the two passengers on the boat, they were wearing life jackets, which helped in the high waves on the lake. That’s when the nearby surfers and boaters sprang into action, rescuing the two people and safely towing their capsized boat to shore. No one was injured and all is well.

I have a feeling the Zodiac boat motor is going to need some fixing, but because of the local heroes who stepped up to save the two who capsized, all involved have a scary story to tell with a happy ending.
