Jack Campbell Releases First Statement Since Injury: ‘Taking Things One Day At A Time’
Since the fourth quarter on Sunday, much of the football world has been eager for an update on Detroit Lions All-Pro linebacker Jack Campbell. For days, head coach Dan Campbell has started each press conference by saying that the news on Jack was "positive", but that was all the information they were willing to share until the family was ready.

While everyone trusted Dan's assessment, the elephant in the room was that no one had confirmed whether Jack had any movement in his body. Not that anyone was entitled to an update, but people have obviously been hoping for news after seeing someone motionless on the ground and lifted onto a cart.

But finally, an update straight from the man himself was released on X earlier today, and it is, in fact, positive.
Jack Campbell Has Full Lower Body Movement
Everyone can exhale a bit, as Jack confirmed in a statement that he has full movement in his lower body and is making progress in his upper body. He added that work remains, but he is optimistic and focused on getting better. He went on to thank all the medical personnel and athletic trainers on the field and at Henry Ford Hospital for the "incredible care".

He also highlighted how his faith is helping him and his family through this difficult time, and that the prayers have meant more to them than he can put into words. He ended his statement by saying, "God is good. My faith is strong."
Dan Campbell commented briefly on the statement, saying simply that it's "good to hear it from them, and it's positive news. We're all thankful for that." Jack's full statement is above.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say thank goodness. It's no secret football is a very physical sport, and when someone is hurt like this, it can be a very sobering moment. Obviously, there is still concern about his upper-body mobility, but based on the statement, it's a matter of when, not if, he will regain movement.

For me, the most incredible part is how fans from all teams, even rivals like the Bears and Packers, have left the game and said they're more worried about Jack's condition than about when/how they'll fill his position.
