You Can Own A Piece Of Grand Rapids Brewing Company
Last month The Grand Rapids Brewing Company announced it would be permanently closing its doors after a fire happened in February that left the HVAC system and kitchen damaged, leading to what started as a temporary closure but has since turned into a permanent closure. However, now that the brewery is closing down, there's a chance you could own a piece of this staple of Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids Brewing Company
A part of Grand Rapids since 1893, the current iteration has been located at 1 Ionia Ave SW Ste 100 since 2012 and has served a wide range of beer and food that includes recipes from 1893 to now. The brewery is known for its sustainability efforts, which incorporate a composting system, a recycling system, and donations to sustainable efforts around the community. You can read more about their practices here.
Liquidation Sale
Grand Rapids Brewing is not reopening and they are selling everything. Like, even the lights hanging from the ceiling. The brewery is having a liquidation sale where everything must go. There are signs, televisions, lights, glasses, kitchen appliances, kegs, mirrors, artwork, and whatever you can think of is probably available to be bid on. There are over 17 pages of items available for bidding.
The bids start in 2 days at the time of writing. If you want to see what's available for bidding, you can view the entire inventory here.
