Is Our Love of Emoji’s Getting Out of Hand?

Are you an Emoji user? Those little faces on your smart phone/tablet, that we attach to our emails, tweets, etc.  Happy, sneezy, grumpy.....wait a minute, aren't those are some of the 7-Dwarfs?

Yes, we all use them, including me. They always help "punch up" an email, to the right person, of course. 

When the story came out over the weekend on Time.com about Google CEO Sundar Pichai responding to criticism about the placement of cheese on Google's version of the cheeseburger emoji, I thought things are way out of hand. Don't we have more important things to do in our lives than worry about and criticize where the cheese is in an Emoji? Good grief.

Pichai said in a tweet, "Will drop everything else we are doing and address on Monday :) if folks can agree on the correct way to do this!"

Pichai was responding to author Thomas Baekdal, who pointed out where the cheese was compared to Apple's and Google's cheeseburger emojis.
"I think we need to have a discussion about how Google's burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, which Apple puts on top," Baekdal tweeted. Oh, my.

Here's the mind blowing thing about Pichai's tweet. There were 1,731 1,731 Replies 14,755 14,755 Retweets 37,981 37,981 likes!
