The Grand Rapids Police Department is responding to a bank robbery that occurred around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Independent Bank located near the corner of Fuller Ave. and Plainfield Ave.

Very few details are available at this time, but FOX-17 reports that the FBI is involved in the investigation as well.

The suspect is described as a white male, six-foot-tall, with a slender build, and is approximately 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and camouflage shorts with a black baseball cap and sunglasses.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored, older model passenger vehicle. The vehicle has ruse on the passenger door near the tire.
