The husband of Sara Lee Knight, the woman whose body was found Jan. 13, is wanted for her alleged slaying and has been spotted in Maine, according to WZZM-13.

Allegan County sheriff's deputies are investigating the case as an apparent homicide.

The morning of Jan. 13, police were called to the couple's home, following a 911 call about a dead person there.

Police have been looking for Harold "Butch" Knight since that morning.

He was at first considered a person of interest, but has been upgraded to being a suspect in her death.

Authorities believe he is the one who made the 911 call, and that he is likely driving a light green 2009 Subaru Forester with Michigan license plate GM74A.

On Thursday, the Allegan County Sheriff's Office said authorities in Maine have told them Knight has reportedly been seen there several times since Jan. 16. The couple has ties to the state.

Anyone with information on the case should call the Allegan County Sheriff's Office at (269) 673-0500.
