In a tournament that was contested at Grand Rapids' Patterson Ice Center, the Dutch skated to the National Division III Club Hockey Championship.

The tournament involved eight club ice hockey teams from around the nation, including several from Michigan.

Central Michigan, the University of Michigan and Adrian Collage all had teams represented at the championships.

Hope advanced by winning the "A" bracket round robin, and then clinched the title with a 3-0 shutout over Arkansas in the title tilt Tuesday night at Patterson Ice Center.

Club teams are self-supported teams who represent their respective colleges, but are not funded by them.
