Grand Valley State University is hosting the 18th annual Celebrating All Walks of Life Traditional Pow Wow to increase awareness of Native American traditions and culture.

The Celebrating All Walks of Life Traditional Pow Wow celebrates Native American traditions and culture through ceremony, song and dance. It will take place April 9-10 in the Fieldhouse on GVSU's Allendale Campus.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend, including people from Native American communities in the Upper Peninsula, Indiana and Wisconsin.

The event will celebrate traditional Native American dancing and music with Grand Entry performances at 1PM and 6PM on April 9 and at noon on April 10.

Native American art, jewelry and food will be available to purchase.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Native American Student Association and Office of Multicultural Affairs at Grand Valley.
