GRPS Hosting Back to School Celebration Tonight

Grand Rapids Public Schools is hosting its annual Back to School Celebration tonight, Wednesday, August 7, at John Ball Park from 3-7pm. This exciting event brings together GRPS students, their families, and prospective families to get ready for the coming school year.

Families will enjoy free food, raffles, giveaways, music, and live entertainment. Kids’ activities include games, a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, and arts and crafts. There will also be dozens of informational booths about school choices, special education services, after school programming, English Language Learner services, early childhood, adult education, athletics, school safety, health services, and much more!

The Back to School Celebration is brought to you by Grand Rapids Public Schools and title sponsors Comcast Internet Essentials and Network 180. Additional sponsors include  Van Andel Institute, and the Kent County Prevention Coalition.
