Be careful.  Yeah, she looks like an innocent aging woman.  She could be your grandma.  Or anyone's grandma.  She may also be someone's drug dealer.

This is funny, surprising and understandable on every level.

Meet Darlene Mayes.  She's now known as one of the Central Plains biggest drug kingpins. Her network of dealers spanned from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.  She is allegedy responsible for 40% of the marijuana supply in that area.

Earlier this week, cops raided her house and found 4 pounds of marijuana and $276,000.  They also found $15,000 bundles of cash stored out of sight. She also had a semiautomatic hangun and a revolver on her person when arrested.

She initially told police the money was part of her retirement fund.

From Yahoo.com...

"...Law enforcement expert Brad Garrett says harmless looking seniors can sometimes be the most efficient drug dealers.

"It doesn't surprise me that someone this age would be actively involved in marijuana distribution because there's just too much money to be made. If they keep a low profile, they don't talk to many people, and they don't get greedy, they can go on for years."

Although I know it's illegal and I'd never want them to put themselves in danger like this, I *do* wish my parents had anywhere NEAR $276K in THEIR retirement fund.  Honestly, their finances make me nervous.  And they're in their 80's.  So I can understand the allure of doing this.

Doesn't make it right, but...

What do you think?
