Grand Rapids Suburbs Score Best Places to ‘Raise a Family’ in Michigan Titles

An article in the Grand Rapids Business Journal, two Grand Rapids suburbs are considered to be among the 10 best communities for families in Michigan.

The GRBJ reports from a rankiong posted by WalletHub, that East Grand Rapids and Forest Hills are No. 2 and No. 8 in the 2017 “Best Cities to Raise a Family in Michigan.”

They said that East Grand Rapids has the fourth most families with children, fifth lowest violent crime rate and the fourth lowest percentage of families below the poverty line. In addition, they also have the fifth lowest divorce rate.

Forest Hills tops the lowest divorce rate category, while Jenison and Allendale are second and third in the category.

Just more reasons to feel proud to live in West Michigan.
