It is the new official mascot of the Ford Airport named Jerry the Jet.
Fox17 reported the introduction to a crowd of supporters, staff and onlookers. There were big smiles on everyone's face as the newest team member was introduced.
Tory Richardson, CEO of the Ford International Airport Authority said that Jerry is:
"A new team member, a new friend, a new symbol of our continued commitment to serving every guest with excellence, warmth, and a sense of adventure."
The Ford Airport has an important outreach program with Jerry, not the least of which is greeting arriving and departing passengers. However, Jerry will also attend community events as a fun and lovable ambassador for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
Education is also a key part for the Ford Airport as well, showing how fun flights can be and that there are many careers in aviation that we may never had thought about.
Jerry will sure bring some new energy and fun for passengers who may be feeling a bit worried about their flight, stressed because they are running late, whatever.
Being greeted by a warm and loveable character like Jerry the Jet. will certainly cool your jets.
So, relax and enjoy because you will be glad you flew through Gerald R. Ford International Airport!
