I would think that one of the most popular meals of the day is breakfast. I know I'm a fan, that is when I am able to have a real breakfast. Doing the morning show and in a studio from 5:30 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday means that if I am hungry, I always am, I need to bring food with me, light things that I can snack on, protein, fruit, etc., keep me going.

What a joy it would be if I could have a serious breakfast/brunch.

We're blessed with many options for just that. Throughout the metro area there are many places to choose from. And now, we're going to add one more, and it sounds pretty exciting.

Wendy Ringo is bringing her Breakfast/Brunch Bar to Grand Rapids, "Sugah Please!"

She is expanding from Detroit to Grand Rapids as many friends kept suggesting that she needs to expand to West Michigan, so she thought, why not.

Even with her medical career, she always had in the back of her mind that she wanted her own business. So she opened "Sugah Please," a coffee shop. When she moved it to Detroit after a couple of successful years in a mall, she expanded it to be a full service restaurant, and it thrived.

And now she's bringing a combination of Southern Comfort food with Cocktails to Grand Rapids. She'll be serving bayou inspired food, catfish and grits, short ribs, wings, omelets, gumbo and, get ready.....beignets! Oh my!

Welcome to Grand Raids, Wendy. Sugah Please will be opening in the Eastown neighborhood  on the corner of Fulton and Carlton.

It is still coming together, so Wendy is hoping for an early November opening.
