GRandJazzFest presented by the DTE Energy Foundation, has announced the performance lineup for the seventh annual festival being held Saturday, Aug. 18, and Sunday, Aug. 19, at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids. 

Saxophonist Euge Groove will headline the festival. The internationally known saxophonist is one of 10 performers and bands playing during the two-day weekend. The eclectic array of jazz performances includes genres from big band to straight-ahead, contemporary to Latin-Cuban and more.

This year’s lineup is loaded with talented up-and-coming jazz artists. Pianist Oli Silk, trumpeter Lin Rountree and saxophonist Marcus Anderson all have released new CDs and are getting plenty of radio play. The free festival is the perfect place to see them perform live! In addition, there are amazing jazz artists in Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra with Edye Evans Hyde, John Gist, Kevin Jones and Tenth World, Lushh and Grupo Ayé. Two additional renowned artists – saxophonist Nelson Rangell and guitarist Steve Oliver – will close out the two-day, free, family-friendly festival.
