A Grand Rapids man was arrested in Traverse City after officers there found him with drugs and counterfeit money.

Brian Gordon, 28, of Grand Rapids is facing charges after being found with $20,000 worth of methamphetamine and $1800 in fake money last Tuesday by the Grand Traverse Sheriff's Narcotics Team.

Also arrested was 30-year-old Nicole Hastings of Traverse City.

Gordon and Hastings were formally charged on Friday. In addition to the drug and counterfeiting charges, the pair was also charged with manufacturing meth and felony possession of a firearm.

Weirdly, counterfeiting seems to be a problem in Grand Traverse County as the Sheriff's Deputies reported two other counterfeiting episodes last week.
