Dubbed “Flags On The Fourth!” Lowell is honored to be the Michigan community chosen to host our state’s official military band this 4th of July.

The Michigan National Guard 126 Army Band, based in Wyoming, takes the stage at the historic Lowell Showboat from 7:00 – 9:00 PM for the 4th Of July musical celebration. Those attending will enjoy America’s favorite patriotic songs as well as a salute to Michigan Veterans comprised of music representing each branch of service. Flags will line Main Street and adorn the Showboat as uniformed Fire Department personnel hand out individual American Flags to audience members. The concert’s conclusion promises to inspire as the band, vocalists, and audience join for the singing of “God Bless America.”

As the official military band of Michigan, the 40 member unit performs for official visits of United States dignitaries including the President of the United States and numerous foreign leaders. In addition to musical precision, each member of the 126 Army Band must train and maintain high proficiency in all aspects of being a United States Soldier.
The concert is free to the public and will conclude in time for audience members to view a fireworks display of their choosing.
