Whether if you've eaten there or not, Michiganders should be familiar with Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor. The deli is not only famous for their piled-high sandwiches but they're also known for being a little pricey.

Sure, paying $15-$17 for a sandwich seems a tad crazy but it's definitely worth it here, at least once. But if you haven't had the opportunity to make the trek from here to Ann Arbor to experience a Zingerman's sandwich, well the food is coming to you!

Earlier in the summer, the award-winning deli shop introduced their "Reuben Tour 2020." They were traveling across the state and making stops at distilleries and breweries to offer some of their most popular sandwiches to people amid the pandemic. This way people could avoid having to drive and running into crowds. Apparently they had such a blast that they've decided to extend their tour and will be back in two West Michigan cities:

  • Kalamazoo - Saturday, September 26 at Green Door Distilling Co. (order by 9.22)
  • Grand Rapids - Saturday, October 3 at Eastern Kille Distillery (order by 9.28)

You must pre-order your food beforehand. You can see the menu here which offers a variety of options from corned beef, pastrami, turkey, chicken, pork, and veggie sandwiches. In addition to sandwiches, you can choose from a number of sides, sweets, and even groceries! Cost of the food includes tax and a bit extra to cover gas and tips for the drivers.

Order pickup will be at the distillery between 3p-6p. And since you're already there you might as well hang back, eat your sandwich, and get a cocktail to enjoy. Sounds like a successful Saturday afternoon if you ask me.
