Join the Grand Rapids community in celebrating ten years since the grand opening of the DeVos Place convention center. The Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority originally held a public grand opening of the $211 million DeVos Place convention center in 2003. The event showcased the new convention center’s 250,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space.

The final phase of the DeVos Place expansion, which includes a 40,000 square-foot ballroom, was completed in early 2005. DeVos Place Steelcase Ballroom has a 12,000 square-foot kitchen to handle all of their catering needs. The completion of six Riverview meeting rooms above the ballroom and the conference center has enhanced the destination package for our larger conferences.

What can you have at DeVos Place? Pretty much everything! In the past ten years, so many things have taken place including conventions, consumer shows, corporate meetings, fundraising auctions, weddings, community gatherings, religious services, and memorial services.

DeVos Place has served Grand Rapids and West Michigan well, and will be for many years to come.
