If you're looking for a career jump start, or you really need a new direction, Nursing could be your answer. Health Care is one, if not the, fastest growing occupations in the U.S. and health care is calling you now.

One of the opportunities open is Mary Free Bed, and they are hosting an in-person job fair next Wednesday, July 14.

It will be held from from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Mary Free Bed’s Orthotics & Prosthetics lobby in the hospital’s west addition. Fox17 reported the hospital says space is limited, but you can RSVP online by July 9 to secure a spot.

The story of Mary Free Bed began in 1891 when a small group of women wanted to help people who couldn't afford health care. They passed a purse and asked anyone named Mary – or anyone who knew someone named Mary – to donate a dime. It was the most common name at the time, and the donations supported the first “Mary free bed” at a local hospital.

From those early beginnings, Mary Free Bed has grown to one of the largest and top-ranked rehabilitation hospitals in the country with 167-bed acute care inpatient rehabilitation for children and adults who have experienced a brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation or other injury or illness requiring physical rehabilitation.

Mary Free Bed is a not-for-profit hospital expanded and patients come from throughout the Midwest and beyond to recover movement and function through Mary Free Bed's inpatient rehabilitation programs.

If you're interested in applying, Mary Free Bed is looking to hire full-time and part-time Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, CENA and Nurse Technicians.

You can RSVP by emailing recruitment@maryfreebed.com. Walk ins are still welcome the day of the event.
