When Shopping at a Michigan Costco You’d Better Follow This Unspoken Rule!
My wife, Susie, and I love shopping at Costco. If you are a card holder, you are granted access to an amazing world of wholesale shopping in bulk!
Where else can you buy paper plates to last your entire life. Or enough ketchup to slather on at least 1,000 hot dogs or hamburgers.
Seriously folks, yes they do sell in quantity, but you will have to admit prices are pretty darned good. Can you say Rotisserie Chicken?
And, where else can you wander through the isles and pretty much eat your lunch with all the free samples of food. Yum!
However, there seems to be a problem with all those free samples and it has been getting out of control.
It's certainly not the food. It's the trash!
It seems that many thoughtless shoppers are leaving their free sample paper cups and things all over the store.
Come on folks, they do provide trash baskets by each sampling location, so how much effort does it take to drop your cup, your trash, in one? Very little!
In an article on Mashed.com, they were commentating on a Reddit.com thread where people weighed in. "One disgruntled commenter called those who leave litter around the store "entitled brats."
And, it's not only disgruntled customers, it's the employees who have to pick up al the discarded cups, juice, food, whatever.

Granted, there might not be trash cans in every isle, but as I said, there is always one at a food sample station, and many throughout the store.
So, isn't that just an "unspoken rule?" Seriously, no matter where your are, going to a movie for example, when you are are finished, throw your trash away. It's common courtesy!
