Clark Retirement Community is hosting the Pathway to Caregiving Conference, a conference designed to support caregivers on the journey of memory loss, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Calvin College Prince Conference Center.

In the United States, an estimated 5.4 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease. It is the single most common life changing condition facing our senior population. Recognizing this, Clark has partnered with Mercy Health Saint Mary’s, University of Michigan, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Sarah Care to put on this amazing opportunity for family members to learn more about how to care for someone with memory loss.

With the capacity for over 200 participants, those that attend will gain significant insight from a variety of local experts including our featured presenters: Dr. Philip B. Gorelick, MD, MPH, FAHA, Medical Director, Hauenstien Neurosciences, Mercy Health Saint Mary’s and Professor, Translational Science and Molecular Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Dr. Bruno J. Giordani, Ph,D, Professor and Chief Psychologist, Department of Psychology and Neurology, University of Michigan Health System.
