It's here! It is one of the most spectacular and fun exhibits in Grand Rapids, and only runs to June 11, so don't miss out! It is the Lantern Festival at the John Ball Zoo.

The Lantern Festival officially opened last night and believe me it should be spectacular.

I took some of my grandchildren to the zoo's light festival, which is similar to this, a couple of years ago and they were in awe. They kept saying "this is like Disney World!"

Fox17 says the Festival is running through June 11th and happens Wednesday through Sunday each week.

I can't wait to go again as there are more than 55 groupings of handcrafted Asian lanterns along a mile-long path through the zoo.

Something really exciting is that the zoo is the first and only place in Michigan to feature the lanterns, which come from Tianyu Arts & Culture, a Chinese lantern festival producer who promotes conservation and sustainability.

Some yummy things will be at the festival, too, with themed foods and beverages, special merchandise, and live entertainment.

The hours for the festival are from 7-11 p.m. Timed tickets are sold every half hour from 7-9:30 p.m. The cost are $22 for non-zoo members, $19 for zoo members. Children under 2 can get in free.

But wait, there's more. There's also a deal for a four-pack of tickets, $66 for non-members and $57 for members.

You, your family, friends, everyone will have a blast because it will be that amazing, colorful and fun. So, get your tickets now! CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS!
