Andy Rent has been off the air for a little bit taking a trip of a lifetime to Italy to explore everything it has to offer with listeners from 100.5 The River.

Andy and company got to check out so many amazing things on their journey. Here's a little bit of what they did in Andy's own words:

We have arrived in Italy, so let the adventure begin!! We have a great group traveling with us to the Tuscany region. Our first day was mostly travel, finally at our hotel, Ercolini &Savi in Montecatini Terme, where we stay the entire trip. We'll tour from here. Collette threw a wonderful welcoming night dinner for us at the hotel. Fabulous, and finished with a lovely evening stroll. Tomorrow... Florence!

Day number two in Italy was spent in Florence. What a city...what history. Our day was art, art, and art. Taking a tour of the city with our wonderful tour guide, we went to the Plaza Del Duomo to see the fantastic cathedral S. Maria Del Fiore. Then on to the Galleria Del Accademia where we were in awe of Michelangelo's David. Following lunch, it was on to the Uffizi Gallery to see unbelievable art from the 10th, 11th centuries on, and sculptures and archeological discoveries from 150 AD. Quite a day as we close it out with some delicious Italian food and wine. Tomorrow, it's off to Lucca.

After that, well, Andy was having far too much fun to update every single day, so check out the rest of the photos from his journey. The end of the trip to the group to places like Puccini's birth place, Gothic Line, and Fattoria IL Poggio in Lucca. They also check out the Psychiatric Hospital in Siena, of course the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Tuscan countryside.
