Here we go again.  The Grand Rapids Press reports that the third locally-shot 50 Cent film, the Bruce Willis/50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) "Setup" will  go direct to DVD (see also: "Gun" and "Caught in the Crossfire"). The release date popped up on the Internet Movie Database and distributor Lionsgate's for-press-only website with little fanfare.

"Setup" shot up downtown G.R. last December during its three weeks of principal photography. It was the fourth movie 50 filmed locally (including "Things Fall Apart," the current status for which is uncertain); the rapper discussed buying a home here, but that is almost certainly not going to happen in the wake of the diminished film-tax incentive in Michigan.

So that leaves "30 Minutes or Less" as the only Hollywood film shot in G.R. to see wide theatrical release. It opens Aug. 12. It also is almost certain to be the best Hollywood film shot in G.R. to see wide theatrical release.

Have some fun with the trailer for the film.
