Just when you thought it was safe to go the ATM and get a little cash for the weekend.  Some ATM's are as unclean as public toilets, according a microbiologist in England.

A team of researchers in England sampled buttons from a high traffic ATM machine and compared them to a nearby public lavatory.  The results may shock you.  The swabs from the ATM buttons and the public toilet seats contain harmful bacteria, (with a big long, hard-to-remember name)  known to cause serious stomach distress.  The answer may be to cut down trips to the money machine, which could save you money, or go inside and get your money the old-fashioned way from the teller.
