Beat The Heat at the Downtown Market

The fun continues in downtown Grand Rapids with the Grand Rapids Downtown Market’s monthly Third Thursdays event that returns this week, Thursday, August 15 from 4–7 p.m., with icy drinks and icy games to help beat the August heat.

This is very "cool" because everyone is invited to “Chill Out & Chow Down,” with frozen yard games under the shaded Market Shed, including frozen turkey bowling, ice cornhole, ice checkers and ice tic-tac-toe, along with boozy and kid-friendly slushies, $2 PBRs, $4 craft beers and more from the outdoor Market bar!

You can pick up a punch card at the info table under the Market Shed (or bring their punch card back), and receive a punch for every $10 they spend at each Third Thursday event. When they reach 12 punches, they can redeem it for a $15 gift card to use in the Downtown Market. Third Thursdays is a monthly event on the third Thursday of each month, each with a different theme and special deals.

In addition to outdoor drink specials, Love’s Ice Cream is offering a free fresh-baked waffle cone with any scoop purchase during the August Third Thursday event.
