Do you own a BlackBerry?   My wife does.  Are you frustrated with the service, or, non-service?   My wife is. If the answer is ‘yes’ to the above, you can yell with my wife.   But, please don’t yell at me.  I can’t make your phone work.  Famous line in my house…’well, do something’!

Okay, Blackberry services are coming back to life across the world after the three-day outage that interrupted email messages and Internet services for millions of customers.

BlackBerry users were angry as an outage spread to the U.S. and Canada and stretched into the third day for Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa.

But, the good news is Research In Motion Ltd., RIM, the Canadian company that makes the phones, said things are improving.

Blackberry said that it's too soon to say that this issue is fully resolved but they’re confident that they have seen the worst.  That’s comforting.

Not very comforting for Blackberry, however.

One of the BlackBerry's big attractions that my wife and daughters like is the BlackBerry Messenger, or BBM, which works like text messaging but is free.  Apple Inc. just released software for its iPhones that works like BBM, and the iPhone 4S will be released on Friday. That kind of competition from Apple is sure making for some unhappy days at Blackberry.

As we say in broadcasting, ‘details at 11.’
